Clarence Bee Article |
I firmly believe that everyone needs a creative outlet, and watercolor is mine. I felt a passion for it from the very first paintings I saw at local shows and the Alan Lee illustrations in the Lord of the Rings book. Watercolor can be soft, fierce, crisp, flowing, and “in your face.” It has a flow, a subtle beauty, and a crisp intensity. It is a medium with a mind of its own; therefore, can offer up stunning surprises. It is easy to grasp, yet can take a lifetime to master. It is the only medium for me.
I feel truly blessed to have a career where I get to create my own watercolors in my studio.
Education:
·
An art course at the
State University of New York at Buffalo was the light

·
I was always drawn to the

Tregay, Linda Kemp, and others.
