i firmly believe that everyone needs a creative outlet, and watercolor is mine. i felt a passion for it from the very first paintings i saw at local shows and the alan lee illustrations in the lord of the rings book. watercolor can be soft, fierce, crisp, flowing, and âin your face.â it has a flow, a subtle beauty, and a crisp intensity. it is a medium with a mind of its own; therefore, can offer up stunning surprises. it is easy to grasp, yet can take a lifetime to master. it is the only medium for me.
i feel truly blessed to have a career where i get to create my own watercolors in my studio.
â· an art course at the state university of new york at buffalo was the light bulb moment for me to pursue an art career.
â· i was always drawn to the look and feel of watercolors. i attended workshops, classes, and demonstrations with janet walsh, susan webb tregay, linda kemp, and others.
