I always had an interest in the creative arts, and began drawing at a young age. In college a course in art that introduced techniques in all media was a real inspiration, plus several visits to the Albright-Knox where the works of many of the old masters, including works by DaVinci and Rembrandt were pivotal in providing my path towards an art career.
I started studying in the Berkshires with artist Dot Huntley. I then moved to the Boston, Massachusetts area where I continued to draw and became interested in watercolors. Upon returning home to western New York, I continued my art education studying with artists Bettie Zoschke, Susan Webb Tregay, Linda Kemp, Janet Walsh, and others. I have been painting in watercolor for many years now, and especially loves to paint flowers. My husband’s interest in motorcycles has opened a new arena over the past few years. I have now been painting motorcycles and automobiles in addition to my florals, cityscapes, and tropical scenes.
I am signature member of the national Missouri Watercolor Society, a member of The Buffalo Society of Artists (BSA), a signature member of the Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society, a member of the Buffalo/Niagara Arts Association, and a member of the East Aurora Art Society. I have exhibited my watercolor works in many juried shows, locally and nationally.
