| "Mid-Life Crisis" |
![]() © 2008 Kathleen E. Dworak This "Mid Life Crisis" is an original watercolor painting I did of my husband's beloved 2006 Harley-Davidson Road King. I have been painting in watercolor for a number of years now, and had attended a workshop learning how to paint crystal and glass. My husband inquired if I could apply what I had learned to painting chrome, and I thought I would give it a try. Since then, I've been painting motorcycles, along with my florals, cityscapes, and others. This motorcycle has a lot of chrome, and the reflections of the beautifully sunny day are scattered throughout the painting. I worked very hard to accurately render all the mechanical aspects of the bike- motorcyclists definitely want everything to be in the right place! The original painting has won many awards at art shows and festivals. It would make a perfect gift for any motorcycle admirer. Awards: 1st Place - 50th Allentown Outdoor Art Festival (2007) Painting Details: |
