Kathleen E. Dworak - Watercolors |
Kathie's BiographyKathie always had an interest in the creative arts, and began drawing at a young age. In college a course in art that introduced techniques in all media was a real inspiration, plus several visits to the Albright-Knox where the works of many of the old masters, including works by DaVinci and Rembrandt were pivotal in providing the path towards an art career. Kathie started her studies in the Berkshires with artist Dot Huntley. Kathie then moved to the Boston, Massachusetts area where she continued to draw and became interested in watercolors. Upon returning home to western New York, Kathie continued her art education studying with artists Bettie Zoschke, Susan Webb Tregay, Linda Kemp, Janet Walsh, and others. She has been painting in watercolor for many years now, and especially loves to paint flowers. Her husband’s interest in motorcycles has opened a new arena over the past few years. Kathleen has been painting motorcycles and automobiles in addition to her florals, cityscapes, and tropical scenes. Kathie is a signature member of the Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society, a board member of The Buffalo Society of Artists (BSA), a member of the Fine Arts League, a member of the East Aurora Art Society, a member of the Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester, and an associate member of the American Watercolor Society. She has exhibited her watercolor works in many juried shows, locally and nationally. Check out Kathie’s Web site where you can view and purchase her original artwork, prints, and note cards on-line.
